Greg Lindberg will tell you that some students tend to grasp concepts at a higher rate when compared to others. A student who spends more time to grasp a concept would need to spend even more to be on par with a student who takes lesser time. That tells you that time is the only avenue you can utilize to catch up with those ahead of you, and pass them where you invest even more of it. According to Greg Lindberg, the two students would have to understand versus time curve. The gradient of the student with better genes would be higher when compared to the student with weaker genes. According to Greg Lindberg, the student who takes longer to grasp a concept would need to work more to catch up with that with better genes. One with better genes would turn things around if he or she spent more time on books.

A person with resources or even gifted in some way would turn things around at a higher rate in a case where he or she invested more of his or her time at work or at school. Unfortunately, most such people only explore their environment making them feel superior and only work to stay on top of their environment. Most of such people only put effort to keep them on top as opposed to exploring further to a wider scope. To a person with better genes and more resources, time would be a boost to making him a national or even an international role model. Even when you have an opportunity, time can make all the difference, making you one of the best or the most famous in a given field.
